On the afternoon of May 13, 2025, EVOC Group and Hong Kong Polytechnic University held a grand signing ceremony and inaugurated the Joint Innovation Laboratory for Industrial AI Terminal Technology in Shenzhen EVOC Technology Building. Distinguished guests included representatives attending the event were: Zou Jian, third-level researcher of the External Exchange and Cooperation Department of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Lin Yang, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of Nanshan Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Huang Guoquan, chair professor of intelligent manufacturing and dean of the Advanced Manufacturing Institute of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of PolyU, Assistant Professor Li Liheng, Li Yingxuan, manager of the Research and Innovation Affairs Office, and Lin Shimei, executive vice president of EVOC Group. The event was co-organized by EVOC High-Tech Holdings Group and PolyU.
Ms. Lin Shimei, Executive Vice President of EVOC Group, warmly welcomed the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Nanshan Science and Technology Innovation Bureau and PolyU. Dr. Li Liheng, Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at PolyU, remarked during his speech:"This collaboration serves as an opportunity to deepen Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation, starting from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By leveraging EVOC’s engineering expertise and PolyU’s research and innovation strengths, we aim to jointly tackle critical 'bottleneck' technological challenges in industrial intelligent terminal systems. Mr. Chen Chao, Chief Technology Officer of EVOC Group, and Ms. Li Yingxuan, Manager of the Research and Innovation Office at PolyU, respectively presented the latest technological innovations and achievements from EVOC Group and PolyU.
Professor Huang Guoquan, Chair Professor of Smart Manufacturing in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute at PolyU, highlighted the university’s latest research advancements in industrial AI and smart manufacturing. Finally, under the joint witness of attending leaders and distinguished guests, representatives from EVOC Group and PolyU formally signed the cooperation agreement and inaugurated the Joint Innovation Laboratory for Industrial AI Terminal Technology. With the unveiling of the red drape, the laboratory was officially established, marking a new phase of collaboration between the two parties in the field of industrial AI This moment signifies not only a fresh starting point for EVOC and PolyU’s collaborative innovation but also a resounding technological milestone in the era of industrial AI.
During the event, leaders and experts from the Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Nanshan District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, and PolyU visited the Technology Experience Center at EVOC Technology Building. They gained in-depth insights into EVOC Group’s latest advancements and innovative achievements in industrial control systems and AI.
